Maryam and Casey

My now husband and I waited a long time and fought very  hard to get to this stage– married and blessed!  Cultural and familial issues were a major part of our story but eventually we got there.  When the time for wedding planning grew near Casey and I both wanted a fair expression of both our backgrounds and a day where our story could be shared with our close family and friends.  This epic story (we decided) needed 2 days– 2 weddings– and yes 2 dresses haha!  Our first ceremony was a traditional Pakistani Muslim Wedding with all the cultural practices being carried out.  This was an intense experience for both of us and we kind of knew it would feel this way.  This is why we planned a smaller more relaxed 2nd wedding celebration day.

We found Victoria quite by chance through a mutual friend at a stage where we were unsure if we need a celebrant… guess what?… We did.  Victoria has this amazing spirit and energy that after our first meeting we KNEW we needed her as part of our day. She understood us and our story and held the whole day together for us.  She was able to intertwine our religious and cultural backgrounds into a ceremony that was SO us.  I can not recommend her or sing her praises loud enough… Victoria has a way with words that made me get shivers during the ceremony.  It has been so special to know her.
